Sr. Emilia

This sweet looking person is my grandaunt Sr. Emilia. She's been my angel since my birth. She was the first to hold me; after my mother. This mutual attachment we've got has grown since then.

Nana was the one who taught me everything in life. From small little things like housekeeping :-), to much more important things as to how to live my life. She's been the source of all my values. I've never been afraid of a fall, cause I always knew she was there supporting me in everything I did.

I love and respect her greatly. I've never said NO to her. So, if you want to get me to do something (anything for that matter), you know who to go to :-) .

Miss Hyacinth Mascarenhas

Appearances can be deceptive :-).Miss Hyacinth is not just the strict person she potrays herself to be, she's much much more than that. It takes a good deal of time for anyone to get to know her completely. I never really understood her ....... whenever I thought I did, she proved otherwise.

She's been my mentor .... even long after I passed out of her class. She's moulded me well, knowing exactly when and where to apply pressure. She know's what her students need and how best to share it with them. All her stories were enriched with values. She was one person who gave her students something to take home to think about besides homework. One thing's for sure, I wouldn't have been the person I am today if not for her.

Mrs. Cynthia Dass

Now what do I say about her? I've known Mrs. Dass since seven years. Our relationship is beyond what words can express. Formally, she's my teacher, but to me she's much more than that.

When I was in school, I'd always confide in her and ask her for guidance. Sometimes I'd just sit and talk my heart out to her, and she'd listen patiently. She's basically mothered me, and over the years I've made sure that the feel and touch of our relationship hasn't faded out. There were times when people were surprised that a teacher and student could share such intimacy. She's occupied a special place in my heart.
